Virtual training w/ Matt and Patti.
Matt has a pretty sweet set up in his garage.
Full Squat rack, bars, plates, dbs/kbs, assault bike, rower, you name it.
Weekly, I put their workouts in. Knowing they are willing to do whatever it takes to get stronger.
Quarantine kicked in, we never missed a beat. First we tried zoom for a month or two. Me being used to it with classes it wasn’t the same but it always good seeing their face and giving coaching tips.
Now we pick a day each and week and I go to Matt’s, and coach both of them through lifts.
Both are training for a powerlifting meet and we are working towards all three of us doing one. If we can decide with many of them being cancelled.
Training never stops, 5 training days. All geared towards getting stronger in the main 3 lifts. Squat, Bench, and Deadlift. Matt, has increased his total by 100+ lbs in the last 6 months of powerlifting. Patti and I have been training together over a year and put over 200+ lbs on our total.
They listen and I listen. Knowing their weaknesses and if something didn’t feel right today, why is that? I find the best solution for them and not necessarily what I would do myself but for each one individually.
Their programming is done weekly so I may make adjustments or program a slight deload, our goal is to continually become as strong as we can be for as long as we can be!
That’s the name of the game!
