Holiday Travel Tips

Many of you will be traveling for the holidays, some will be going half an hour, some of you will be going halfway across the country. We hope you all have safe travels, and don’t have to deal with any stress. That being said, there are a few different things you can do to try and make things more enjoyable.

Be sure to stretch. A lot. Especially if you have a long flight or car ride. You may feel silly standing in a terminal and trying to touch your toes, but sitting for prolonged periods can hinder blood flow. Try to move around as much as you can.

Be sure to stay hydrated. While sodas and energy drinks at a gas station seem like an easy grab, go for water. You’ll thank yourself later. Avoid extremely salty snacks too.

Try to make sure you have ample sleep. And avoid driving at sunset or sunrise if possible. The sun shining directly in your eyes can cause them to feel heavy and make you sleepier.

Overall, try to give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination. Turn on a throwback station so you have something to sing along with, and try to have fun.
