Most gyms you may have been a part of in the past will have staff and other members that you will walk by and never speak to. You won’t know their names, they won’t know yours. You’ll have no idea if they have kids, what they do for a living, what they’re like. You’ll pay your dues, walk in the door and badge in, and work out with your headphones in while being ignored and simultaneously ignoring everyone else.
When we decided to run the Turkey Trot at the last minute, you all blew us out of the water. Half the gym came out to run. You all brought your spouses, your kids, your friends. We had a huge turnout. This gym isn’t just a gym. It’s a community. You all hold each other accountable, you all are invested in not only yourselves, but each other.
When we created CFSS, we didn’t know what to expect, but it’s exceeded our expectations. The crew at this gym has become a second family. When we put a call out to come help clean up the gym, shape up the barbells, paint, and organize, you all came with smiles on your faces. We know you all had other things you could have been doing on a weekend, but you came, you worked, you laughed, and worked up a sweat.
We know when you make friends, and build relationships, you’re more likely to keep coming back. We have members at this gym who have been coming since we opened our first little location. You all are a special breed, and we can’t thank you enough for being part of this family.
We don’t know what the next few years will look like at CFSS. But we know we can’t wait to grow with you all.
